Pleroo Centers for Re-Entry
Pleroo works collaboratively with the Department of Corrections (DOC), Probation and Parole, and County Sheriff’s offices to determine eligible inmates that qualify for services that will aid in a crime free life and a seamless integration back into the community.
Solid case management and community handoff is provided to each ex-offender. This is a major key for a successful reintegration. In most instances a case manager tracks the inmate throughout their sentence, from arrest to re-entry. This is what makes Pleroo’s philosophy so unique. A team of professionals is involved in every aspect of the inmate’s rehabilitation plan. Before release, face to face contact is made, making sure as many needs as possible are fulfilled before ever leaving prison. At release, the inmate is picked up and brought to the Pleroo center for orientation. Each individual’s data is monitored. Handling each case in this manner assures their needs are matched to the intervention provided. This is accomplished in no small way through joint ownership between jail/prison and the community. The Pleroo Institute can provide the following in-house services: Case Management, Felony Registration, Mental Health Evaluation and Treatment, Identification, Career Development Center, Job Fairs, Necessary Work Items, Notary Service, Transportation, Laundry Facility, Food Pantry, Clothing Closet, Phone, Computer and Printer access, Community Partners Support and Service Pre-Release
Inmates that have served longer sentences, in State and Federal facilities will be contacted as far out in advance as possible before their release date to offer Pleroo’s services. Upon a request made by the inmate for assistance, an interview will be conducted. Their criminal history, record of time in prison, all programs and services the inmate participated in, as well as, their local support system will be used to determine the type of services offered.
Inmates serving less than 5 years will be monitored throughout their sentence. When possible, close communication and coordination with the DOC will be established to help determine a path of rehabilitation, and to follow the inmate’s progress. This process will start at the local level during their time in jail. An inventory is conducted to determine their local support system, job skills, education level, criminal acquaintances, past record and home environment. |
